Located within the Washington Park Arboretum, this 3-1/2 acre formal garden was designed and constructed under the supervision of world-renowned Japanese garden designer Juki Iida in 1960. The Japanese Garden represents a compressed world of mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, tablelands and a village, with each feature conveying a quiet message of its own.

Neptune Theater

When it opened in 1921, the Neptune Theater was one of five movie houses in the University District. Today it is the only one of those five that remains. In 2011 the theater was purchased by the Seattle Theatre Group, a non-profit organization that has also purchased and restored the Moore and Paramount Theatres. It is now a live performance multi-use venue.
