Description

In the Sand Point neighborhood bordering Lake Washington, the 350-acre Warren G. Magnuson Park is the second largest park in Seattle. This popular park features several sports fields, a picnic area, a swimming beach, public sailboating, many paths for walking and bicycling, a dog park, and "Kite Hill", a large grassy man-made hill from earth and pavement pieces of the old airfield tarmac. It also boasts the second richest bird habitat of any park in Seattle, with 170 species reported. Magnuson Park is home to Seattle's biggest playground, with 20,000 square feet of colorful climbing walls, sand box, swings, slides and much more.
