Description

All aboard, railroad enthusiasts! The town of Snoqualmie celebrates its origins as a railroad and logging town with the Snoqualmie Depot museum that has been restored to its turn of the century grandeur and is presented as an operating train station. The museum is home to a wide range of historic railroad artifacts, including uniforms, lanterns, tools and equipment, motor cars or speeders, photographs, paintings, pamphlets, as well as larger items such as steam and diesel locomotives, freight cars, passenger cars, a five mile segment of historic railroad, and a nineteenth century train station. Guided tours of the museum and grounds are available, and include a ride aboard the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad and a trip to the top of Snoqualmie Falls.
